This role works to combat food insecurity by working with elected officials, fundraising, organizing community gardens, food distribution initiatives, and education programs that promote healthy and affordable food access.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain community partnerships
- Survey and schedule appointments with local residents for food insecure needs.
- Partner with local organizations addressing food insecurity
- Organize cooking and nutrition demonstrations using garden produce
- Track food distribution and community impact
